This is the wine that changes people's perceptions of what Chardonnay can be.  Elegant, opulent textures and complexity define this wine, possessing substantial weight without seeming overly rich.  From a treasured block of dry-farmed 40-yr old Wente clone vines, it is distinctively floral and infused with aromatic notes of ripe pears and apples, followed by complementary expressions of tropical pineapple and citrus fruit.  Aged 10 months in neutral oak with 100% malolactic fermentation, lees aging contributes layers of textures and richness. Buoyed by crisp, palate-cleansing acidity, with a long lasting, well-rounded mouth feel. 250 cases.
