The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC), the largest wine competition of American wines in the world with over 7,100 entries in 2018, is usally the first wine competition of the year. Judges are selected throughout the major American wine regions to offer a diversity of backgrounds to each judging panel. There is major outreach of award recognition through a 30+ page special wine award section of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper. The SFCWC is one of the few competitions that offers the public the chance to also sample the same award winning wines as the judges, and is held at the beautiful Fort Mason Center, right on the ocean!

Please note: THIS EVENT SELLS OUT EVERY YEAR! This is not a Fortunati Winery hosted event-but a large competition in which we participate. We do not have access to tickets and cannot provide our members discounts (bummer!) but it's a great way to taste a lot of top wines in a lovely setting-come join us and say "hi!"  while you're there! Take advantage of "Early Bird" pricing prior to Dec. 31, 2018 for best ticket prices.
